Hackney Youth Orchestras Trust (HYOT) have recently rejoined the Jack Petchey Achievement Awards scheme and are proud to announce our first winner. Iris was presented with her certificate, badge and letter by Sharon, our Jack Petchey Coordinator at our Spring Concert on 23 March 2024.

Iris received her award in recognition of her excellent contribution to HYOT this year. She takes part in all that HYOT has to offer showing great commitment by coming to music school every week, attending tuition and orchestra and doing her best in all activities.
She has worked hard on both her flute and singing lessons achieving a well deserved merit in her grade 3 exam.
We are proud to announce our second Jack Petchey Achievement Award winner. After a fantastic summer concert, Clelia was presented with her certificate, badge and letter by Chris, a trustee at Hackney Youth Orchestras Trust.

Clelia received her award in recognition of her dedication to her musical education over nearly seven years at Hackney Youth Orchestras Trust. Clelia has performed in many concerts both singing and playing clarinet and holds an excellent record of attendance. Clelia’s musical development has been an inspiration to her peers.
